SafeSteps Tile and Tub Treatment is a mop on, rinse off solution which treats the surface of ceramic tile, quarry, terrazzo,natural stone surfaces and fiberglass or porcelain tubs and shower enclosures to help prevent slippery conditions on wet floors and surfaces.
SafeSteps Tile and Tub Treatment works at the micro-pore level to enhance the natural surface characteristics of these materials to increase their natural characteristics thereby improving traction and safety.
When properly applied and maintained, treated surfaces will have a slip coefficient exceeding ADA/OSHA slip-fall safety recommendations. SafeSteps Tile and Tub Treatment is not used on vinyl, linoleum, wood, metal, coated, waxed or sealed surfaces. Care should be taken to protect carpets, molding and other flooring materials.
Application Information
Use Cleaner Degreaser or Shower Scrub to remove all soil, grease, oil, or shower scum.
Apply enough SafeSteps Treatment to thoroughly puddle and coat a section of the area being treated.

Treatment Solution should be used directly from the bottle without dilution.

Pour the solution directly onto the surface being tested and spread using a brush, sponge or mop. (Use a different application than the one used to clean the floor.)

After thoroughly wetting the worked area, agitate the liquid on the surface using the applicator to swill the liquid as it treats the surface at the micro pore level.

Large areas should be treated in sections to allow for the material to work for 5 minutes directly on the surface without drying.

After 5 minutes, and before the treatment dries on the surface, remove the Treatment solution by wiping and wringing the liquid from the floor. Thoroughly rinse the surface with clean clear water to completely remove the Treatment solution.
Porcelain and fiberglass application: Porcelain and fiberglass surfaces require a little more time for SafeStep Tile and Tub Treatment to work. Optimum time to attain maximum slip-resistance has been determined to be between 7 and 10 minutes. |
